API Access

Find the right accesses

In addition to the unlimited and paid-for access to the API, we also provide access to a demo version on a free, time-limited basis. This demo version gives you the opportunity to try out all the API functions and to determine what advantages flexible data integration can offer your company, and which of the various application options may be of interest to you and your customers. With demo access, the API access is only possible to sample systems from Fronius, not the integration of data from your own PV systems.

Please note that irrespective of which type of access you choose, use of the Solar.web Query API is restricted to business partners (corporate customers).

Unlimited access

Carry out the following steps to obtain full access to the Solar.web Query API: 

 

1. Create a Solar.web user account 

Register at www.solarweb.com. Besides monitoring Fronius PV systems, the platform also acts as a control center for the API. As the control center, it creates and manages the API keys. 

 

2. Complete order form and enter into contract

To enable API access for a Solar.web account, we require a fully completed and signed order form. Your API access will then be activated by a Fronius employee.

 

3. Create API keys and get going

The REST API tab under the User Settings menu item becomes available after access has been enabled. This is where you can create and manage API keys. Before starting the implementation, we recommend you first familiarize yourself with the API by using the Swagger user interface.
