Battery tray welding: presentation from Fronius at “Roboter 2020”
The German Welding Society hosted the conference on automated welding from February 12 to 13, 2020 near Stuttgart, Germany. The use of robot technology is continuing to advance – a trend that is also having an impact on SMEs. “Roboter 2020” addressed this industry development in detail and examined the topics of digitization, process reliability, production processes, and operating concepts.
In his presentation, Alfred Hartinger explained how cost-optimized and high-quality manufacturing can be achieved with robot-assisted welding systems in new application fields – for example, the joining of cell cases for electric cars. “Based on customer projects that required custom solutions, we have been able to demonstrate that in specific sectors of industry, the interaction of sophisticated robot and process technology provides optimal results for customer,” summarizes Hartinger.
