This is verified by the life cycle assessments that we conduct independently and have reviewed by an independent institute.

Life cycle assessments for the benefit of all

Life cycle assessments (LCA) are one of the measures we carry out as part of the consistent implementation of our sustainability strategy. As a family business, we believe in taking responsibility and enabling future generations to have a future worth living.

The LCAs are a valuable tool for this because, simply put, they give us a measurable indication of how sustainable our solutions really are. In concrete terms, we review the raw materials, transport, production, service life and repairability aspects. The results of the assessments are incorporated into the new and further development of our products.

Pioneer with foresight

The Sustainability by Design team, which is part of Research & Development, is responsible for carrying out our LCAs. The assessments are designed, implemented and evaluated in collaboration with an external partner company. But personal responsibility and a vested interest in better products are not the only things that make us a pioneer in life cycle assessments: The general conditions appear likely to change in the foreseeable future. We’ve already adapted for this and are able to score points with our experience and impressive results.
