Ukraine is increasingly relying on photovoltaics as a source of renewable energy. The country has taken a further step towards a clean and safe energy supply with a 3.8 MWp field installation that was brought into operation in 2017. In planning the new installation, the Ukrainian PV experts at Infinity Energy decided to use Fronius Eco inverters. In addition to being quicker and much simpler to install than most, these inverters also have an integrated, allpole string fuse holder, which eliminates the need for further string collection boxes. This has a positive effect on the total investment required and brings forward the date at which the installation will start to turn a profit.
A total of 128 Fronius Eco inverters are in use in Khutir Budyliv. Protection class IP 66 makes it possible to install the devices in an unsheltered outdoor location – with no additional equipment room required.
Quality and reliability were the main reasons for using Fronius products in this system.
