Formnext 2024: we are defining standards in additive manufacturing

Our 45-m² stand, featuring a new, reconfigured layout, set us apart from other exhibitors even more than last year. The modern concept won over visitors with an attractive design and clear flow allowing them to learn about the different aspects and solutions showcased.

The live welding demonstrations in the CWC-S cell with real-time display via ArcView proved to be a true crowd pleaser. Fronius was the only exhibitor with live demonstrations of MIG/MAG welding, which created a real buzz among visitors.

Innovations for the market and future prospects

Current trends, such as components weighing over 500 kg or larger than 1 meter in size, are not a problem for Fronius Additive.

The same is true of prototyping, another area in which the market is showing great interest. Our strategy—from prototypes and small batches through entire system solutions—allowed us to position ourselves perfectly to be able to meet future market requirements too. 

The introduction of Fronius Additive in particular was eagerly anticipated. Comments like “All we’ve been waiting for is for Fronius to bring forward an application for metal 3D printing!” highlight the demand for our solutions.

The new Additive Manufacturing welding characteristics were also seen as a milestone, since they provide an effective response to key challenges in additive manufacturing. The trust in our expertise was clear: “If Fronius is working on this area, then it’s future-proof.”

Formnext 2024 was not only an opportunity for us to look back at our progress, but also to look ahead to an additive future.
