Dave Blackburn (Instagram: blackburnfabrication) has been welding since he was 14 years old and now runs a one-man business that carries out welding repairs on everything from exhaust manifolds for aircraft to fencing on farms. Kyle Voss produces videos about metalworking and motorsport – his YouTube channel, “The Fab Forums”, has almost 250,000 subscribers. Laela Holden aka Lulu, known as Dugz Welding Caps (dugzweldingcaps) on Instagram, makes welding caps and, since picking up a welding torch in 2016, also makes furniture for her customers.
Three Welding Processes – One Device
All three influencers already use a variety of devices from the Fronius manual welding range and were therefore particularly interested in the latest products in this area. Fronius is bringing two new multiprocess devices to the market in the shape of the TransSteel 2700 and 3500 Compact. They can be used to carry out all three welding processes – MMA, MIG/MAG, and TIG – with excellent results, making them ideal for constantly changing welding tasks. As well as ensuring a flexible range of applications, ease of operation was also at the heart of the product development process: the device is ready to weld in just three steps. Another new feature is the addition of the Steel Edition to the modular TPS/i welding platform. This has been optimized for steel applications and offers all the same advantages as the TPS/i in terms of ease of operation, process control, and networkability.
New Welding Systems for High Performance
Fronius also presented a number of innovations in the robot-assisted welding sector. Welders looking for more power for their application will find it in the TPS 600i, along with a long duty cycle. In the world of resistance spot welding, Fronius offers excellent solutions for welding aluminum in the form of the DeltaSpot and DeltaCon spot welding guns.
Lulu, Kyle, and Dave were impressed with the variety of the Fronius product portfolio and the high level of quality that the Austrian company provides across all of its devices, from robotic to manual welding. “The high quality of the Fronius products is impressive. The functionality of the devices has been perfectly thought out,” summarizes Kyle Voss, who regularly uses a variety of manual Fronius devices.
